THE BEGINNING

Welcome to vibrant South Africa – a land of colour, warmth, and smiles. Here, two friends blended their hearts and dreams to create BUONISSIMO – a place where Italian passion meets South African energy.

THE DREAMER

Vincenzo is a dreamer – a lover of flavour and adventure. When he first arrived in South Africa, he was captivated by the fruits, the people, the light, the joy. He brought with him his Italian roots and a dream to craft something unforgettable… a place filled with passion and sweetness.

THE MASTER

Roberto, a master gelato maker with 30 years of experience, perfected the art of balance, beauty, and taste in Italy. When Vincenzo called and said, “This country is special – you have to experience it.” Roberto listened. Together, they dreamed of a place where art and flavour would come alive.

THE CREATION

And so, BUONISSIMO was born – where crispy bubble waffles embrace creamy artisanal gelato, freshly churned before your eyes. Every scoop celebrates the union of Italian tradition and South African fruit – from mango and fior di latte to guava and dark chocolate.

At Buonissimo, every day begins with joy – gelato, bubble waffles, croissants, and aromatic coffee served with warm smiles and passion. Come taste the magic, where Italy and South Africa coincide, and every spoonful is pure joy.

Our pistachios come from Bronte, Sicily known as the ‘Green Diamond of Pistachios’.

They grow on volcanic soil at the foot of Mount Etna, enriched by mineral-rich lava.
This unique environment gives the pistachios an intense aroma, deep green colour and exceptional quality.
Bronte pistachios are harvested only every two years, making them rare, precious and truly special.
We have worked for years to secure this exceptional quality for you. As production is strictly limited, allocation is managed through a waiting list and quantities are available only in limited supply.
